Emoticon pack
From TrillWiki
Emoticon packs allow a user to change all the emoticons used by Trillian at once. Each Emoticon pack usually features its own distinct style or theme, for example, a Halloween-themed Emoticon pack would have smiley faces replaced by ghostly faces, while a Anime-styled Emoticon pack would have Anime-styled objects and smileys.
The amount of Emoticons in an Emoticon pack can vary. Due to the flexibility of SkinXML, there are no limits or pre-requisites in how many Emoticons the pack can contain. However, since excluded Emoticons would be shown as plain text, it is advisable to support most of the Emoticons from the default Emoticon pack.

[edit] Contents of an Emoticon Pack
Each Emoticon Pack resides in its own folder under Trillian\stixe\plugins\. It is composed of the following files:
- desc.txt: Description of the Emoticon Pack
- preview.bmp or preview.png: Image file for the preview of the Emoticon Pack in Skins Preferences
- main.xml: SkinXML codes of the Emoticons
- PNG files: Graphics files for static Emoticons
- GIF files: Graphics files for animated Emoticons
- WAV files: Sounds files for Emoticons with Emotisounds
[edit] desc.txt
desc.txt is composed of only two lines:
- 1st line: Name of the Emoticon pack, to be displayed inside Skins Preferences.
- 2nd line: The word "emot" tells Trillian that this folder contains an Emoticon pack.

[edit] Enabling Emoticon Packs in non-STIXE skins
Emoticon Packs are readily available in STIXE skins. However, as non-STIXE skins can carry its own emoticon pack, special codes are required to enable such feature in non-STIXE skins.
See Using SkinPacks for a tip on how to enable them in a non-STIXE skin.
