IControls are buttons/switchers which can be placed inside windows. (According to Kevin, IControl stands for "inner control".) The trillian button is an IControl, the hide button is one. The IControl is merely a way of telling where to place the button/switcher. The different states/options for an IControl is stored in a control in the prefs section of trillian.xml. This is a list of which IControls can be used in each window. We also have some IControl code.
